Olivia has been shooting adventure, travel and conservation for over a decade. Olivia's photography and words can be found in adventure magazines, geographical publications and journals in Australia and abroad - Australian Geographic, Wild Magazine, Adventure Magazine, Rock and Ice, Vertical Life.
Her passion for rock climbing, exploring and nature has taken her from the sheer cliffs of Yosemite to the deep lakes of new Zealand, across the tropical waters of the Java Sea, but always back to her spiritual home : when not travelling she gets into the world-class traditional climbing of Arapiles, exploring the Grampians other-worldly sandstone peaks, pondering new adventures and shooing away the emus and kangaroos investigating her veggie patch.
Olivia is Australia's first female Arc'teryx Ambassador: Located in the Canadian Coast Mountain wilderness, Arc'teryx is built on the principle of obsessive, precise design and production. Olivia works in collaboration with Arc'teryx to help bring community together.
Personal climbing achievements include climbing The Nose of El Capitan, Yosemite US. A winter ascent scramble of Federation Peak, Tasmania, Australia. A rope free ascent of Mt.Aspiring (Tititea), South Island, New Zealand.
Olivia is a Travel Play Live Women's Adventure Grant Winner - Sponsored by Travel Play Live, Gutsy Girls Adventure Film Tour & Jack Wolfskin. Her filming expedition will document a all-female rock climbing team attempt a first mountain peak traverse and accompanying first ascents on Terror Peak, Danger Peak and Lady of The Snows, in remote Fiordland, New Zealand.
Olivia was the expedition photographer for the first winter ascent of the North West Face via Blade Ridge on Federation Peak, Tasmania. Winter On The Blade - the film by Simon Bischoff and Andy Szollosi documenting the expedition - was a 2017 Banff Mountain Film Competition Finalist.
In 2011 Halcyon Press published Olivia's first book - The Last Great Southern Adventure - Helicopter Hunting Fiordland. Olivia has over 200 hours of helicopter aerial photography experience.
Olivia has worked as a photojournalist for Fairfax Media, an editor for Tennis Photo Network, and shot on aerial projects with Ausjet Helicopters, Essendon Airport and Halcyon Press. She is a contributor to Austockphoto. Commercial clients include Banksia Environmental Foundation, RACGP, Flexitech Engineering Group, Know Pathology and Multicultural Arts Victoria.
